Tips for Army ROTC for the first time

If anyone knows, I need some tips for getting ready for ROTC for the first time as a junior in college. I have started working out. I'm having a real problem with the pushups. I haven't really done pushups to much in the past so I need to know any tips for pushing through these. I'm on my first week of workout and have roughly 4 weeks left to get my reps up. Thanks

I have the same problem. The only way to get better at something is to keep doing it. First practice on getting your form right. Then start doing 100 a day, either in sets of 10 or 20. Once in a while push yourself to the limit to see if your improving. Then start increasing the number you do per day and reps you do.

One thing that really helps me is to use push up bars. Yes, they do make the push ups harder to do, but you cannot cheat and it really does help with your form. Another thing I do is to increments of 10. On the PT test your adrenaline should be pumping so you will keep knocking them out until you can't do anymore. Once you get tired try doing them in cycles of 2-3 until the two minutes is up. Good Luck :)
