Ok I have alot to update you on. To start with I am no longer at the Fob. I have injured myself to the point I now have been reassigned to FT GORDON I will be a resident at the wonderful EISENHOWER hospital. I have to have my right arm and elbow redone. Literally. I feel totally dejected that I have to leave my son and the friends that I have trained with for the last 8 months. The culimation of Shelby and NTC FT ERWIN CAL. Kuwait, and now KITCHENS AT THE FOB. You build up a certain bond with the guys that you are with. Especially the great mess section that has been tasked to do the impossible and has surpassed it. I have alot of newfound respect for those guys. We had a tough time of it at first evrybody was working against each other. But we finally pulled it together and now we are unstopable. Well latest update for me is I leave out mon. jan31st 05. I will keep you updated on what the out come will be from there. I hope they can fix me and get me back there soon. yours truly vic.kitchens

I am glad I  was able to create this blog for you. I will try to keep it updated. Basically I am in the 278th regiment. We have been deployed since june 13 04. We are not sure when we are coming home. We have our share of things that happen. Like mortars coming in or roadside bombs, but Cobra is not a bad place to be in all accounts.. Well my son is here with me we are a team the two of us. It was'nt always like that. He used to be a mama's boy untill he grew up.now he is more of a daddy's big man. Matt has lifted a ton of wieghts. hec was always such a skinny kis now he is benching more then I weigh . He is dedicated to it thats for sure. Well to tell you about our jobs I am a food service sgt Matt is a machine gun shooter on the convoys. at present I am at Anaconda. I am typing with one arm because I have this very painful calcium buildup in my right arm. I had an injury 7 months ago. And they  never treated it right so now i will probally have to have surgery to correct it. Oh well I will update you on fob life later.     vic.
