Operation GI Jingle

The holidays are one of the hardest times to be away from your family, and little ones especially can't understand why Mommy or Daddy has to be a soldier far far away instead of at home.  My own two year old keeps hoping that Santa will be bringing Daddy home in his sleigh.  And why not?  If Santa can travel around the world and deliver literally TONS of toys in one night, shouldn't there be a little bit of room to bring something really important?  So far she has been pacified by the idea that Santa will visit Daddy, but that Santa is really busy on Christmas Eve, so maybe he will help bring Daddy home later. We will see how that idea sits with her when the holidays do arrive.

In any case, many companies and organizations recognize the sacrifice that our men and women in the military are making this holiday season.  One such company, Jinglegram, offers personalized video email greetings and letters from Santa himself.  Not only have they created a special message for military kids, but they are offering this service FREE of charge to military members away from their families during the holiday season.  It is called Operation GI Jingle, and you can find more information here.

Thank you to Jinglegram for helping to make the holidays a little brighter for our families.  And thank you to all of the military men and women who are serving our country, both at home and far far away, this holiday season.
