It is hard to describe what life is like for those of us left at home to people who don't have a loved one in “the sandbox.”  People try to understand, but unless you have walked a mile in the shoes of a soldier's wife, it is hard to comprehend all of the concerns and emotions and issues that military spouses deal with every day.  It is all the more remarkable, then, that Roxie Dean has managed to capture these feelings and put them into a song.  Her single, “A Soldier's Wife,” is amazing.  (Warning:  it is also a tear jerker.)

Thanks, Roxie, for putting the spotlight on military spouses.  There are a lot of amazing women (and men) out there coping with everything life can throw at them every day, all the while worrying about a deployed spouse.  Hopefully this song will help people to understand, just a little.
